I was helping my little friend Sara to make a crown for school and she wanted to make something for her mom and dad. She sketched each of their favorite animals, chose the colors and I did the cutting and sewing and framing. She says she wants to be an art teacher, but she's always saying her drawings are terrible, no matter all the compliments we give her... I've even told her about abstract paintors and how they paint the world in different ways, but still...
I thought this would be a good way to encourage her : )

Estava a ajudar a minha amiguita Sara a fazer uma cora para a escola e ela quis fazer algo para os pais. Desenhou os animais favoritos de cada um e escolheu as cores. Cortei, cosi e emoldurei. Ela diz que quer ser professora de arte quando crescer, mas está sempre a dizer que os desenhos que faz são horríveis, por muitos elogios que receba. Já lhe falei de pintores abstractos e como pintam o mundo de formas diferentes, mas mesmo assim...
Pensei que isto seria uma boa forma de a encorajar : )
