{I kinda like lists. or not.}

At the begining of this year I made a list of things to remember... and I'm keeping them still. They won't grow old or obsolete.
:: Love always.
:: Trust Him always.
:: Be thankful always - you deserve nothing.
:: Forgive always.
:: Share and connect.
:: Dream.
:: Be passionate.
:: Be dilligent.
:: You are 3rd.
:: Journal, draw, photograph (document memories).
:: Smile.

And to this list I add...

:: measure your words. think before you talk, so that your words may always be kind, positive and uplifting.
:: keep a "gratitude journal". write one setence a day, every single day.
:: listen a lot. listen to people, to music, to every detail around you... listen.

And now for a silly/fun list...

:: make video tutorials.
:: dye my hair in a weird color (this red or that one or pink or orange).
:: visit bro-in-law and his wife in London
:: make a list of people we give gifts to at christmas, divide them for each month and make or buy handmade gifts. I'm hoping this time around it really works and I have a stress-free holiday next time.
:: see my little owl colection grow.
:: learn how to play the ukulele (well, I kinda have to get one first)...
:: make an original 2nd anniversary gift for T.
:: try 2 or 3 new recipes each month. and update my foody blog while at it.
:: guerilla knit my neighborhood.
:: make seed bombs and use them.
:: write letters. yeah. real letters. snailmail.
:: finish every book I read.
:: get a camera from here.
:: stay in touch with nature. take a walk in some woods.

And there's a secret goal that isn't a goal. It's a dream. And that one I hold very dearly to the heart.

*matchy-matchy*

{to use up the last bit of this old tweed fabric that I love}

{crayola doesn't make a color for your eyes}

I went to see the doctor I had come down with the blues She said that I can’t cure you but heres something you can do, take out a piece of paper and go sit down for a while and a draw a pretty picture of something that makes you smile I know what makes me happy i didn’t have to think for long but when i tried to draw it, it always came out wrong i had a box of 12, 48 and 64 but no where could i find that one shade i was looking for I guess i had realized it should have come as no surprise,
crayola doesn’t make a color for your eyes

There is no way that i could possibly describe you
crayola doesn’t make a color to draw my love ...

{love is breathing}

the house is silent.
the voices of dear ones still echoe in the heart.
in the midst of the singing and laughing and eating and sharing, the truth remains the same - the cry of a Child hundreds and hundreds of years ago changed the world forever.

Life's come out from inside
All caught up in a brand new smile
Alive

Love's come out from inside
Carefully willingly
And you are alive so alive

Love is breathing like a child come out
Life suspended in the gravity of care
Never ending does the child come out

Hope's come out from inside
And we are all caught up
Trying to hide
But you are alive more alive

Love is breathing like a child come out
Life suspended in the gravity of care
Never ending does the child come out

You're more alive when you try
Growing down, enter the kingdom!, child
Move the buildings to the fire
And color our most desperate cries with ease, please, child

Love is breathing like a tree on fire
Consuming violent and tender life
Love is breathing - alive - breathing

*some crafty novelties*

Why is it that I feel more inspired when I have zero time to put ideas into practice?
There are more things that haven't been photographed yet... Soon...

p.s.: a big thanks to dear Sónia who modeled for me a few weeks ago ;)

sometimes it gets hard. but it's imperative to look for the little things that color my job in a unique way.

the generosity of strangers makes me smile

[from someone very sweet who always asks to remain annonymous]

[beautiful, beautiful vintage buttons from a giveaway I won at LA's blog]

...

fathers be good to your daughters,
daughters will love like you do.
girls become lovers
and turn into mothers,
so mothers be good to your daughters, too.

2 of my favorite boys at the table at the same time!
After dinner we had ice-cream (that Isma brought) and showed him a bit of this.

{week #2 snippets}
